50 years ago a mythical creature dwelled in the dark depths of the human mind. Many have struggled to conquer this beast but none prevailed to claim glory over psychological warfare. As years go by witchdoctors have decrypted fragments of codes and have defined this phenomenon as Five Decade Faint. It has been foretold, one day a fellowship of legend would rise and defeat the being with all forms of sound wave arsenal.

Today, it is the era of manipulative mainstream, subliminal promiscuity and unjust presentation of styles. Five Decade Faint is not a story for the weak hearted.

It begins with the Mauritian drummer, Peter; a fighter of foo.

Peter was in search for brethren to become part of a band of sound where each member had their own definitive instrument of choice. The ideals chosen were mind blowing frequencies, high performance stagecraft, heart induced lyrics and “sticking it to the man.”

He experienced many hardships and finally found a man worthy to help him realise his dream. Julz; A valentine who was shot by a bullet.

Julz was a warrior of rock. He came from the bloodline of hybrids and wielded an axe forged in the flames of Les Paul. He believed in the same ideals as Peter. Inevitably an instantaneous brotherhood was formed.

Julz and Peter journeyed across the lands of gigs and found themselves collaborating with many other bands of sound. Several axe men came and went; but none were able to handle the determination of these two “musoz.”

Soon after, a shadow appeared before them. It was a man who had traveled far from the cultures of the east. He was in search for an ideal sound that distinguished him from others. He had the presence of darkness, skillful guitarmanship and the voice of a dragon's roar. His name was Geoff, from the park of linkin. They created a ritual pact to uncover the mystery behind Five Decade Faint.

During this time, war had broken out. The three brothers were forced to deliver a performance as though it was their last. The battle was brutal. Geoff screamed to the top of his lungs, Julz blasted guitar riffs like a mad-man, and Peter thrashed his kit as if the earth erupted.

However, the enemy held firm ground and they were too powerful for the three. It seemed like all hope was lost as the final blow was prepared.

Suddenly, a shockwave exploded from the horizon and blew away their foes. in the midst of the sound, a man holding a bass appeared before them and said.

"Hey guys. My name is Rogerio Wildberger Lisboa. I saw your advert on TAFE looking for a bassist. we'll I'm bassist and I'm looking for a really good band where I can use all my creativity."

...and we replied

"Wait. how do u say your name???"

*laughs*

"Just call me Roger"

to be forever continued...

They have been a band since July, 2013 in Sydney and Five Decade Faint are playing evermore resourcefully with gifted performances, awesome, original material and “killer” cover interpretations. The group was initiated by drummer Peter Clunie in collaboration with Julian Loschiavo who plays lead guitar and not long after they were joined by vocalist and rhythm guitarist Geoff Quan. With the recent addition of the bass player, Oliver Cartwright, Five Decade Faint is again on the road and working well, taking fine performances in their stride. The members of Five Decade Faint are driven by their varied musical histories additional to the band’s current inspirations in the Metal, Punk and Hard Rock genres they represent so well. This band is formally educated in its genre as well as being relevant and hard-working. There has been a turnover in those who’ve played bass with this band. Now Peter, Geoff, Julian and Oliver spend a greater part of their lives inspired by and absorbed in music, performing and composing in the genres that most pique their interest, most especially Metal and Punk repertoire. You just need to hear them in action! Five Decade Faint’s sound is not unlike Foo Fighters or Linkin Park. They have played with more than a few talented, young bands since beginning to tour during this year and late 2013.
